Let's See How Far We've Come...

Today marks Metro's 35th anniversary...happy birthday to us!  Launched in Williamsburg under the name Video Adventures, our formerly small-scale company has evolved into a thriving, dynamic business with three locations.

We have been lucky enough to work with hundreds of amazing clients and produce a wide range of diverse, engaging videos. Metro witnessed the evolution of technology and quickly adapted to exciting advancements in video production over the years. Long gone are our VHS days, but we'll always appreciate where we started and how far we've come.

Fun Facts (courtesy of John Stout, Metro's number one fan. Currently our director of project management, he's worked here for 29 years) :

-When we first started, the name Video Adventures occasionally caused kids to mistake us for an arcade; they’d show up with pockets full of quarters, hoping to spend a few hours playing Pac-Man and Donkey Kong. Soon after, we opted to change our name to Metro Communications, Inc., which is our incorporated name to this day. In the ’90s, we made yet another name change by calling ourselves "Metro Video Productions" to make sure people understood that we specialized in video. Finally, as we expanded and technology advanced, we dropped "Video" from our name, and here we are today: Metro Productions.

-We've worked in over 25 countries around the world and traversed all 50 states. We've filmed U.S. presidents, pro athletes, movie stars, and high-ranking military officials. We've done everything from firing guns on set to watching sausage being made!

Decades after opening our doors for the first time, we continue to be at the forefront of video production. While time has passed and equipment has changed, our passion for video and enhancing the client experience will never fade.

 Here's to 35 amazing years!
